SquadZon — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SquadZon mobile application ("App", "Service") operated by SquadZon ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use SquadZon. If you are between 13 and 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

By using the App, you represent that the information you provide during registration is accurate and complete.

2. Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You may not share, sell, or transfer your account to another person.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. What SquadZon Provides

SquadZon is a social gaming platform that allows users to:

• Find and connect with other gamers based on game, rank, region, and playstyle
• Send and receive teammate requests
• Create and join Clans with roles, announcements, persistent voice rooms, and invite links
• Chat with other users in real time (direct messages and clan channels)
• Organize and join Tournaments, including invite-only and paid-entry tournaments where Game Coins are held in escrow and refunded on cancellation or reversal
• Set up a gamer profile with game stats and preferences
• Enter free-to-enter Giveaways. Giveaways are skill-and-eligibility based, require no purchase to enter, and are governed by the rules posted in-app for each draw
• Apply to the SquadZon Affiliate Program (creator referrals). The Affiliate Program is optional and governed by separate Affiliate Program Terms accepted in-app
• Purchase premium features and in-app virtual currency ("Game Coins")

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Post or transmit content that is hateful, racist, sexist, violent, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the App for any illegal activity
• Attempt to exploit, hack, reverse engineer, or interfere with the App or its infrastructure
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to access the Service
• Spam, advertise, or send unsolicited messages to other users
• Share another user's personal information without their consent
• Create multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions
• Exploit bugs or glitches report them to us instead

We may remove content and suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these rules, at our sole discretion.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post (messages, images, profile data, clan posts).

By posting content on SquadZon, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and distribute that content within the App for the purpose of operating the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you create and share. We do not pre-screen user content but may remove it if it violates these Terms or applicable law.

Profile images and clan images must comply with our conduct rules. We may remove inappropriate images without notice.

6. Purchases & Premium

• SquadZon offers optional in-app purchases including Premium membership and Game Coins.
• Premium is a one-time lifetime purchase tied to your SquadZon account. It does not transfer to new accounts.
• Game Coins are virtual currency used within the App. They have no real-world monetary value and are non-refundable.
• All purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Refund requests must be directed to the respective platform.
• We reserve the right to modify pricing, features, and availability of purchasable items at any time.

7. Clans

• Clan owners and officers are responsible for the content and conduct within their clan.
• We may remove clans that are used primarily for harassment, hate speech, or illegal activity.
• Clan names and descriptions must comply with our conduct rules.

8. Voice Chat

Voice features (persistent clan voice rooms, lobby voice, and tournament-related voice) require microphone access on your device.

You agree not to use voice chat to harass, threaten, or engage in any prohibited conduct.

We do not record voice chat. However, users may report voice misconduct, and we may investigate and take action based on reports.

9. Reporting & Moderation

You can report users, messages, and content that violate these Terms using the in-app reporting feature.

We review reports and take appropriate action, which may include content removal, warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.

We are not obligated to provide details about moderation actions taken.

10. Privacy

Your use of SquadZon is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

We collect and process personal data as described in that policy, including email address, username, profile information, device information, and usage data.

11. Intellectual Property

SquadZon, its name, logo, design, and all related content are the intellectual property of SquadZon.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App or its content without our written permission.

Third-party game names, logos, and trademarks referenced in the App belong to their respective owners. SquadZon is not affiliated with or endorsed by any game publisher.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. USE THE APP AT YOUR OWN RISK.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SQUADZON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR DAMAGES FROM USER INTERACTIONS.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO SQUADZON IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR €50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

14. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App settings or by contacting support.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason with or without notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Content you posted may be retained or deleted at our discretion.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or by email.

Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where SquadZon operates. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless required otherwise by consumer protection law in your country of residence.
